Garage Sale / Thrift Store Finds 10/18/13

Greetings!

Haven't posted a video on my finds in awhile ... it's crazy how life just gets in the way sometimes ... plus I'm so busy fanning myself with all of the money I've been making selling on eBay (not literally). But Things have been getting better and better as we close in on the holiday season. I'm looking forward to closing out October with some more sales and VERY excited to see what November brings in!  I've decided I can't post every item I buy anymore ... I have to start dedicating some of that time to listing them!  But I will try to do short updates on some of the stuff I find and will continue to do items sold updates for sure ... cause let's be honest - those are the most fun! Here are some of my most recent finds:

 Another Vintage Light up Santa! This one actually had the light and chord. I will buy these all day even though they aren't worth that much ... just too awesome and brings you to a different time period.

 1940 Cuban Cigar Gurkha box made of wood. Supposedly this is very rare. Pre Columbian Crisis Era (whatever that means). This is the kind of box that was nailed shut, no hinges so I'm guessing for shipping. There is still some loose tobacco in the box. I was told they used to pack the cigars in the box with extra tobacco which is kind of awesome. Paid $1

 Nautical Themed Bell to hang on wall. Bell looks kind of older, has some patina on the inside. Probably not super old though. Paid $8 simply because bells and nautical stuff both seem to do pretty well.

Been awhile since I've done an update.  Things are really starting to slow down in my area as far as garage sales go so pickings be mighty slim!  Here's what I've found over the last week:

'Vintage Empire Plastic Santa. Given to me for free at a garage sale.

 Interesting Mug with a revolver that says "The Colt Peacemaker" ... someone out there might want this. Paid .50 cents.

 Vintage Halloween Monster Fangs in the original packaging. .50 cents.

 Finally!  Scored a box scoring tool for .10 cents! This is invaluable for making your own custom sized boxes.

 Vintage Realistic brand radio from the 1970s. Has Patriotic / Revolutionary war theme. Paid $3.

 Vintage Brunswick Bowling Bag. Paid $4.

 Antique / Vintage Metal Plate / wall decor with horse riding / dogs / fox hunting theme. Made in England. Paid $2.

 2 vintage wooden Bosun Boats. Paid $1 for the pair.

Garage Sale and Thrift Store Finds 9/18/13 - 9/19/13

Grabbed a few items over the past few days. Here's what I snagged:

Metal Marks Deluxe Lamp - Paid $2.

 Jack Daniels Clock in Wooden Box. Paid $2.

 3 old Revolutionary War Prints. Paid $3. Was thinking I could sell the 3 together as a lot, or maybe throw them in frames (I have a few antique frames lying around already - not sure if these will fit or not though.

 Pair of Nocona Cowboy Boots - Paid $5.

 Calendar from 1982 with some nice imagery. Thinking about framing some of these as well. FREE BOX.

 Vintage electric razor/scissors in kit. Looks like it says "fostoria" but I'm not sure. Will have to research. Paid $.25 cents.

 1982 ET Puzzle. Paid $.25 cents.

 Metal Lighthouse Candle Holder that says "Keeper of the light". Paid $1.

 Nautical Popout ship in frame ... Paid $2. Took a risk on this thing, don't know much about it. It's marked 1959 in the corner. Not sure if that is the production date or not yet.

 2 Antique Perfume Pump Atomizers. One has a star pattern, the other is amber glass. $5 for the pair. Might have made a mistake on these.

 Antique Jewelry Box mae od glass and brass. Transparent with little pillow inside. Really cool looking. Paid $2.
